Mess fee refund & rebate policy

Eligibility

Rebate is applicable only for students who avail a minimum of 5 continuous days of leave. Leave periods shorter than 5 continuous days are not eligible for any rebate.

Rebate calculation

For every eligible leave period of 5 continuous days or more, a rebate will be granted for 4 days (one day is not counted towards the rebate).

The approved rebate days are recorded in the student portal against the month they apply to. The portal works out what those days are worth at the per day rate for the student's meal plan and deducts that amount from the mess fee for that month, so the student is shown the reduced amount before paying.

Application process

• Students must submit a Mess Rebate Form through the proper channel (hostel warden / mess committee, as applicable) before or promptly after their leave period.
• The leave dates declared in the form will be verified against the student's biometric (face recognition) attendance punches for the mess.
• Only leave days confirmed through biometric records will be considered for rebate calculation.
• Once verified, the approved rebate days are recorded in the portal by the mess office, and the reduced mess fee is shown to the student when they pay for that month.

Rebate requests without proper form submission, or where the leave cannot be verified through biometric records, will not be processed.

தகுதி

குறைந்தபட்சம் 5 தொடர்ச்சியான நாட்கள் விடுப்பு எடுக்கும் மாணவர்களுக்கு மட்டுமே தள்ளுபடி பொருந்தும். 5 தொடர்ச்சியான நாட்களுக்குக் குறைவான விடுப்புக் காலங்களுக்கு எந்தத் தள்ளுபடியும் வழங்கப்படாது.

தள்ளுபடி கணக்கீடு

5 தொடர்ச்சியான நாட்கள் அல்லது அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட தகுதியான விடுப்புக் காலத்திற்கு, 4 நாட்களுக்கான தள்ளுபடி வழங்கப்படும் (ஒரு நாள் தள்ளுபடியில் கணக்கிடப்படாது).

அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட தள்ளுபடி நாட்கள், அவை பொருந்தும் மாதத்திற்கு எதிராக மாணவர் போர்ட்டலில் பதிவு செய்யப்படும். மாணவரின் உணவுத் திட்டத்திற்குரிய ஒரு நாள் கட்டண விகிதத்தின்படி அந்த நாட்களுக்கான தொகையைப் போர்ட்டல் கணக்கிட்டு, அந்த மாதத்தின் மெஸ் கட்டணத்திலிருந்து கழிக்கும். எனவே கட்டணம் செலுத்தும் முன்பே குறைக்கப்பட்ட தொகையை மாணவர் பார்க்க முடியும்.

விண்ணப்பிக்கும் முறை

மாணவர்கள் தங்கள் விடுப்புக் காலத்திற்கு முன் அல்லது உடனடியாக, உரிய வழிமுறையின் மூலம் (ஹாஸ்டல் வார்டன் / மெஸ் கமிட்டி, பொருந்தும் இடத்தில்) மெஸ் தள்ளுபடி படிவத்தை சமர்ப்பிக்க வேண்டும்.

• படிவத்தில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்ட விடுப்பு நாட்கள், மாணவரின் மெஸ் பயோமெட்ரிக் (முக அடையாள) வருகைப் பதிவுகளுடன் சரிபார்க்கப்படும்.
• பயோமெட்ரிக் பதிவுகள் மூலம் உறுதிப்படுத்தப்பட்ட விடுப்பு நாட்கள் மட்டுமே தள்ளுபடி கணக்கீட்டில் கருதப்படும்.
• சரிபார்ப்புக்குப் பிறகு, அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட தள்ளுபடி நாட்கள் மெஸ் அலுவலகத்தால் போர்ட்டலில் பதிவு செய்யப்படும்; அந்த மாதத்திற்குக் கட்டணம் செலுத்தும்போது குறைக்கப்பட்ட மெஸ் கட்டணம் மாணவருக்குக் காட்டப்படும்.

முறையான படிவம் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்படாத அல்லது பயோமெட்ரிக் பதிவுகள் மூலம் உறுதிப்படுத்த முடியாத தள்ளுபடி கோரிக்கைகள் செயல்படுத்தப்படாது.
